WEST POINT, N.Y. – Following his first career hat trick, Army junior forward Mark Dube picked up his first career honor from the Atlantic Hockey Association.
Dube collected five points to help Army to a weekend sweep of AIC and was named the AHA Player of the Week, it was announced by the league office Monday evening.
A right wing from Billerica, Mass., Dube recorded a natural hat trick during Friday’s 6-4 victory at Tate Rink and then capped his weekend with a goal and assist in a 4-1 win outdoors at Rentschler Field in Hartford, Conn.
Dube scored twice on the power play over the weekend to help Army win all three games against AIC this season. He posted his first career multiple-goal game and increased his season totals to 11 goals and two assists.
Dube is the third Army player to earn conference honors joining Player of the Week Danny Colvin (Nov. 22) and Goalie of the Week Ryan Leets (Jan. 24.).
Army junior Mike Hull was selected to the Honor Roll after posting six points over the weekend. He handed out two assists during Friday’s win and then was credited with an assist on all four goals on Saturday.
Army improved to 10-18-4 overall and 9-12-4 in conference games with the sweep of AIC.
