by Staff Report/
The Los Angeles Kings signed Princeton graduate Kevin Westgarth to a two-year contract extension Monday.
According to ESPN.com, the deal is worth $700,000 the first year and $750,000 the second. Westgarth had one year remaining on his current contract.
Westgarth, 26, has no goals in his 65-game NHL career, but has carved out a niche as an NHL enforcer. At 6-foot-4, 228-pounds, Westgarth had 105 penalty minutes in 56 games last season.
