New York Rangers defenseman Adam Fox is one of three finalists for the 2021 Norris Trophy, it was announced Wednesday.
Fox, a native of Jericho, N.Y., just finished his second season with the Rangers after playing three seasons at Harvard from 2016-19.
The other finalists for the award are 2016-17 Norris Trophy winner Victor Hedman (Tampa Bay) and reigning Calder Memorial Trophy winner Cale Makar (Colorado).
Members of the Professional Hockey Writers Association submit votes for the Norris Trophy at the conclusion of the regular season, with the top three vote-getters designated as finalists. It is awarded “to the defense player who demonstrates throughout the season the greatest all-round ability in the position."
