There is a long list of players who have gone on to have fantastic careers at Boston College after playing for the U.S. National Under-18 Team, and Aram Minnetian appears destined to join those ranks.
U.S. NTDP U-18 head coach Dan Muse first saw Minnetian suit up during the COVID-19 pandemic. “The first thing that stood out was his skating. He’s so strong on his edges, and it puts him in a great position to join an offensive rush,” Muse said.
The modern game requires a talented two-way defenseman, and Minnetian is exactly that. Hailing from Woodcliff Lake, N.J., he previously suited up for the Mid Fairfield Rangers and Bergen Catholic High School, before eventually finding his way to the NTDP.
“As soon as I heard about the NTDP, and how the program shapes young players, I knew it was exactly where I needed to play. I knew I wanted to represent my country, and hopefully play in the NHL,” Minnetian said.
