The 2005 Mid Fairfield team out of Connecticut has long been one of the nation’s best in its birth year. Now, the cornerstones of that group, coached by Marty St. Louis and Adam Delgado, are starting to see the road to junior and college take shape.
While this past season didn’t end the way the team had hoped, its cast of high-end players has continued to make waves in the Midget hockey world in the months since.
Several have made the NTDP. Others have earned the chance to play for Team USA internationally, and nearly all of them have announced high-profile NCAA commitments in recent weeks or will do so in the months ahead.
For Delgado, who’s been with the group since they were Squirts, it’s a good feeling to see each of his players beginning to set out on the next steps of their young hockey careers.
