Brendan Guhle stood inside the Buffalo Sabres locker room inside KeyBank Center and, with a wry smile, said he is getting used to talking to the media.
That’s a good thing. Because at the rate things are going, the media will be lining up to speak with the Sabres prospect for years to come.
Selected by the Sabres in the second round (51st overall) of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, the 20-year-old Guhle is making a strong case for a full-time spot on the Sabres roster. But for Guhle, it truly is just about taking it one day at a time and not getting too far ahead of himself.
"I feel better every game, every night, every practice," he said. "It’s about trying to take a step every day."
