Chemistry has Colgate storming through the ECAC

Talented mix of Canadians and Americans helps Raiders surge into ECAC postseason

By Marisa IngemiMarch 1, 2018

There’s some Canadian camaraderie at Colgate.

As the Raiders have surged through ECAC Hockey, they’ve found ways to win games however possible. From scoring to strong goaltending, the veteran team leaders have upped the ante in one of the toughest conferences to break through.

"We have an older group with 16 upperclassmen, and that comes with a lot of experience," said winger Shelby Perry. "Showing the freshmen the ropes … they follow in our footsteps. It helps that we’ve all played together for a few years."

The Raiders (29-4-1) can flat-out score. Jesse Eldridge leads the way with 35 points. Her linemate Perry is second with 31.
