College hockey recruiting: Top uncommitted ’00s

With the 2018-19 hockey season in the rear-view mirror and junior camps in full swing, now is a good time to look at the top uncommitted, 2000-born prospects in New York and New Jersey.


As most readers know, college hockey recruiting is its own unique beast. Several ’00s will be sophomores in college next fall, but other ’00s theoretically could have two years of junior hockey remaining.

Cicero, N.Y., native Joel Farabee already has signed a NHL contract. Many other players in this birth year from the region already have committed to colleges or are already there. There remains a few prospects on the market who undoubtedly will play Division 1 hockey.
