With the 2018-19 hockey season in the rear-view mirror and junior camps in full swing, now is a good time to look at the top uncommitted, 2001-born prospects in New York and New Jersey.
As most readers know, college hockey recruiting is its own unique beast. Several ’01s will be freshmen in college next fall, but other ’01s could have three years of junior hockey remaining.
New York and New Jersey boasts several ’01s who will hear their names called later this week at the 2019 NHL Entry Draft in Vancouver, including Trevor Zegras (Bedford, N.Y.), John Beecher (Elmira, N.Y.), Marshall Warren (Laurel Hollow, N.Y.), John Farinacci (Madison, N.J.) and Robert Mastrosimone (East Islip, N.Y.)
