It was more than just about handing out rings. It was a reminder to every girl that they mattered, and that this was a family.
On Dec. 8, the Section III Clinton girls varsity gathered for a socially distant ceremony in which the members of the team received their NYSPHSAA championship rings.
The girls met at Clinton High School for the one-hour ceremony. Wearing masks and observing COVID-19 safety protocols, the girls filed into the school cafeteria one by one and received their ring from head coach Nicole Ruddy.
