After a breakout campaign at the perennial prep power Lawrence Academy in 2019-20, Wood Ridge, N.J., native Damien Carfagna moved up to the USHL and quickly adjusted to the junior hockey realm.
In 50 games with the Green Bay Gamblers, the 18-year-old left-shot rookie defenseman totaled 18 points on six goals and 12 assists.
Carfagna, a smart, smooth-skating offensive defenseman, played for the Mercer Chiefs and Don Bosco Prep before arriving at the Groton, Mass., prep school where his stellar play landed him a Division 1 commitment to the University of New Hampshire.
