Boston University’s past year has included more starts and stops than most other Division 1 college hockey teams, but two COVID-19 pandemic-impacted seasons haven’t deterred Domenick Fensore from continuing an upward trajectory in his young career.
The Thornwood, N.Y., native burst onto the scene as one of the top freshman defensemen in Hockey East last season, contributing greatly to a Terriers team that boasted 13 newcomers.
Fensore and his classmates became sophomores for a most unprecedented campaign during which BU rose to second in the conference standings despite entering the program’s fifth NCAA appearance in the past six tournaments having played just 15 regular-season games.
