After beginning the season playing prep at Avon Old Farms, Paul Davey helped his 2021 NHL Draft stock tremendously when he made the jump to the USHL and performed well with the Des Moines Buccaneers.
Davey, a 6-foot-2, 181-pound left wing committed to Boston College, was only supposed to be in Des Moines for three weeks at the start of the COVID-delayed season.
After some good talks about his development and seeing what he brought to the table at the junior hockey level, however, former Buccaneers head coach Peter Mannino and his staff realized the team had to bring him on full-time.
