Germany native Nico Sturm has given Clarkson Frozen Four aspirations

It’s pretty difficult to not notice Nico Sturm.

Besides the fact he checks in at 6-foot-3 and 211 pounds, the Clarkson University junior forward from Augsburg, Germany, also is one of the top players and leading scorers in the ECAC Hockey League.

“He brings it all to the table,” said Clarkson head coach Casey Jones. “He’s difficult (for opponents) to handle, and he plays the game the right way, for sure.”

He’s also been remarkably consistent. Sturm has notched more than two points in a game only once so far in his college career, but he’s also put up at least one point in almost 60 percent of all the contests he’s played for Clarkson.
