NYHJ's Leo Scaglione Jr. checks in with former Dexter Southfield, now Harvard, forward John Farinacci after winning gold with Team USA at the 2021 IIHF World Junior Championship.
What did it mean to you to be able to play with so many former NTDP players and win the gold at the 2021 IIHF World Junior Championship?
“Being on the bench with those guys, playing with them, and winning a gold medal with them was special. We will be bonded for life because of that. I remember some moments on the bench, on the ice, or in practice thinking about not making that team but then thinking, ‘We put in the work and now we are up to this point.’ It’s definitely been a long and hard road, but winning the gold medal was a pretty surreal feeling, and a cool one, too.”
