Many prospects looking to showcase their skills in front of college coaches and NHL scouts took to the ice last weekend at the Junior Bruins Shootout.
The tournament, hosted by Peter Masters’ USPHL organization, took place mainly at the eight-sheet New England Sports Center in Marlboro, but the action spilled over to several other area rinks.
The Junior Bruins Shootout had a handful of quality prospects, but it was watered down, as has become custom at tournaments such as this one. When it’s difficult to decipher top teams because different buzz words or colors are given for team names, it’s not good for anyone.
