Matt Crasa is in his sophomore season as a forward for UMass-Lowell. The South Setauket, N.Y., previously played for the Fargo Force of the USHL and the South Kent School.
This season, Crasa notched a goal and three assists in his first 10 games amid a 7-3 start for the River Hawks.
Crasa talked with New York Hockey Journal about his journey from New York to Lowell, where he notched 12 goals and nine assists last season.
He discussed the disappointing loss to Denver in last year's NCAA tournament, playing for coach Norm Bazin and the hockey culture on Long Island, among other things.
