The final stops on the road to the Frozen Four in Buffalo, N.Y., come this weekend as three Tri-State programs compete across all three of the four NCAA tournament regions in Manchester, N.H.; Providence, R.I.; and Allentown, Pa.

The only Friday game of interest will be played in the Granite State between a pair of teams riding high following conference championships, Clarkson and Notre Dame. The ECAC’s Golden Knights will skate after top-seeded UMass meets Harvard in the first game of the tournament at 3 p.m.

On Saturday, Cornell looks to recover from its ECAC championship loss with an East Regional contest against Northeastern, while Quinnipiac meets Arizona State at the Midwest Region in Allentown, Pa., in which defending national champion Minnesota Duluth is the top seed. The Bobcats were not in the NCAA tournament during either of the last two years.

New York and Connecticut clubs won’t have to meet top-seeded St. Cloud State until the Frozen Four as American International, Ohio State, and Denver join the Huskies in Fargo, N.D.
