
NHL Central Scouting released its mid-term rankings for the 2019 NHL Draft over the weekend with 28 players with ties to the New York and New Jersey region listed.
NHL Central Scouting has four lists: North American skaters, North American goaltenders, International skaters and International goaltenders.
U.S. NTDP U-18 center Trevor Zegras (Bedford, N.Y.) was the top ranked player from the region, coming in as the seventh best North American skater. Zegras is committed to playing college hockey at Boston University.
Three more players from the region were ranked in the top 40 among North American skaters. Lincoln Stars center Shane Pinto (Franklin Square, N.Y.), Dexter center John Farinacci (Chatham, N.J.) and U.S. NTDP U-18 defenseman Marshell Warren (Laurel Hollow, N.Y.) were ranked 35th, 37th and 39th, respectively.
