Finally.
After two consecutive NJSIAA/Non-Public state championship losses to Delbarton, Don Bosco flipped the script and defeated its rival, 3-1, to earn its first state championship in program history.
“They’ve beaten us twice in a row, two times in the last two years,” Ironmen head coach Greg Toskos said. “The fact we were able to get over the hump while defeating them, the defending champs, makes it sweeter for us.”
It was a dream season for Don Bosco, which ended the season with a 27-1 record, a state championship and the Gordon Cup championship.
