There is something special about Potsdam. It’s a world unto its own. Once you step into that world, you never want to leave. If you do, you can’t wait to come back.
Located in upstate New York, the Town of Potsdam, which also encompasses the Village of Potsdam, was first settled in the early 1800s. With the Adirondack Mountains serving as a backdrop, Potsdam has a picturesque, natural beauty that almost defies description.
"It’s so pretty," 15-year-old Erica Sloan said, as her face lit up. "I love it. It’s just a small, close-knit town. You have a community behind you. When you’re playing sports, you know the community is always going to be there."
When it comes to hockey in the Potsdam area, people are always there, and they are without question behind their teams.
