Three years ago, Max Veronneau was just a hockey player from Ottawa skating for the Gloucester Rangers in the Central Canada Hockey League.
Fast forward to now. Veronneau’s no longer just a hockey player. He’s a 22-year-old right wing under the microscope of National Hockey League scouts entering his senior season at Princeton University. The 6-0, 180-pounder also is an ECAC champion, as he helped lead the Tigers to the playoff title last season, an improbable story if ever there was one.
Then again, that label also could be applied to Veronneau, especially if he continues on his upward trajectory in the hockey world.
