New York Hockey Journal continues to analyze the top prospects from the region, breaking down the best players from the 2006 birth year.
While none of these players can make verbal college commitments until Aug. 1, they are under the microscope of the United States National Team Development Program as the next group of Americans to try out for the Under-17 team. Additionally, the ’06 prospects enter the USHL Futures Draft in May.
Last year, the regional ‘05s generated four players for the U.S. NTDP, and an early glance at the ‘06s indicates that multiple players could crack the roster again this year. Here are 15 locals with the potential to get high-level junior and college attention going forward.
