HACKENSACK, N.J. — New York Hockey Journal attended Sunday's AYHL 16-U matchup between the first-place North Jersey Avalanche and third-place Washington Little Capitals. The game was played at the Ice House, home of the Avalanche. The hosts finished victorious, 6-2, on the heels of three power-play goals and one shorthanded tally.
Despite a significant overturn in personnel, the Avalanche (led by veteran head coach Rob Hutson) remain at the top of the Atlantic District. They are also holding steady in the national rankings, currently seeded within the top 15.
North Jersey is an impressive team with strong prospects from all over North America, but the group leader is '06 defenseman, Cole Hutson.
Here is a detailed breakdown of Hutson and five of his Avalanche teammates from the game.
