River Rats Jamboree: Standout prospects

By Jeff CoxAugust 30, 2019

The Gelstx Neponset Valley River Rats Jamboree took place at Canton Ice House in Massachusetts as well as several other area rinks earlier this week.

The event was well attended by NHL scouts, college coaches and agents looking to get a first look at some of the 2019 fall split season teams and its players.

NHL scouts were largely in the rinks to watch Gunnery right-shot left wing Alex Jefferies, who plays for Rochester Coalition 18-U, and Timmy Lovell Jr., a left-shot defenseman from the Boston Advantage 18-U. There was a large discrepancy in talent between the top teams and the middle of the pack to lesser teams, so most of the college coaches were honing in on the same five or six teams.
