Justin Falk has a somewhat extensive collection of professional hockey jerseys. Falk has made several stops in his 10 years as a pro — Minnesota (NHL), Houston (AHL), Iowa (AHL), Columbus (NHL), Lake Erie (AHL), Rochester (AHL) and finally, his home now, Buffalo.
While some critics might say that bouncing around is a sign that a player can’t find a home, others who know Falk say in his case its a testament to his work ethic and determination to stay in the game.
"By no means has the career been easy," Falk said after a recent practice inside KeyBank Center. "A lot of times I’ve fought and played just to get back to this level, and you try to last as long as you can. I can live with myself and sleep well at night because I know that I prepare and give all that I have every time I have a chance to play. That’s all that I can ask out of myself."
