There are lots of options of hockey camps available to players, with many reasons why you should consider them. Something players and their families should entertain, however, is going to a camp outside the region and heading to the Midwest for hockey camp.
Very different from the Northeast, going to hockey camp in the Midwest can open a new world to the player.
"The trip to the Midwest can give the player a look at another style of play," said Bill Moore, the men’s hockey coach at St. Mary’s University, which runs the St. Mary’s Hockey Camp. "It allows them to compete against players that they are not familiar with. It gives them a look at different schools as well as different college coaches seeing them."
