Three New Yorkers named to U.S. Women’s World Championship roster

USA Hockey announced its roster for the 2021 IIHF Women's World Championship on Tuesday, with three players from New York.

The tournament, which is scheduled to run from May 6-16, will be held in Halifax and Truro, Nova Scotia.

After winning its fifth straight gold medal in 2019, the U.S. will compete in Group A alongside Canada, Finland, Russia and Switzerland. In addition to the last five, the Americans have won eight of the last nine world championships.
