Many junior hockey players are still competing to earn a coveted NCAA Division 1 deal as we enter the New Year. In the United States Hockey League (USHL), there is a ninety-five percent D-1 commitment rate, and as such, most of the prospects playing in the United States Hockey decided on their college paths.
However, seven USHL players from the Tri-State area are still vying for opportunities. Forwards Dylan Robbins (Alpine, N.J.), Greg Spitznagel (Summit, N.J.) and Nick Vantassell (Basking Ridge, N.J.), and are among the group of forwards and defensemen.
As the USHL 2021-22 regular season’s second half gets underway, here is a quick look at each, with emphasis placed on D-1 commitment potential and anticipated impacts at the collegiate level when they eventually enter school.
