Players from around the world competed in the United States Hockey League during the 2020-21 season.
There were locals from New York, New Jersey and Connecticut among them, and some of those skaters had performances that were more magnificent than the Manhattan skyline on a crystal clear day.
Exhibit A is Chicago Steel forward Matt Coronato (Huntington, N.Y.). After totaling 40 points (18-22-40) in 45 games last season, the 5-foot-10, 183-pounder led the USHL in goals (48) and finished second in points (85) in 51 contests this campaign. His 48 goals are a single-season Steel record, and his 66 goals across his two campaigns with Chicago set a career all-time franchise record.
