As soon as Robert Mastrosimone was able to walk, his father put a pair of Rollerblades on his feet and placed him on the carpet so he could walk around in them and gain his balance. When he was two years old, his dad advanced him to the next stage and brought him ice skating.
His old man’s goal from the start was clear.
“He loved hockey,” Robert said of his dad, who shares his name, “and wanted me to love it just as much as he did.”
His mom, Virginia, was a passionate hockey fan as well, so she too hoped their son would savor the sport.
