Coming off a down year, Lindenwood (10-20-1) is definitely in a better position this time around. The team lost only two seniors to graduation, only one who saw regular ice time. Plus, the majority of the lineup last season consisted of freshmen and sophomores. The attack averaged just shy of two goals per game, but top goal scorers — junior forward Taylor Girard (13 goals, 11 assists) and sophomore forwards Hannah Alt (10 goals, four assists) and Sierra Burt (nine goals, eight assists) — should provide the team with a solid foundation in that department. The defensive unit, propelled by junior Courtney Ganske (19 assists last season), should be improved, and having Jolene deBruyn (2.50 goals allowed per game last season) in net for one more season should prove to be a major asset for the team.
