Before the Princeton women’s season opener last fall, a home game against Robert Morris, sophomore forward Sarah Paul was on her cellphone. She opened Google and looked to see how long it had been since she last played a regular-season game for the Tigers.
It had been 693 days.
After a promising start yet abrupt finish to her freshman season in 2021 — and after three surgeries in one calendar year — Paul was finally healthy and getting to play the game she loves with the team she loves.
“I was thinking to myself, ‘Holy crap. I really waited that long and put a lot of time and effort and tears — for sure, tears as well — into simply being here,” she said.
