Chicago Steel forward Matt Coronato has been named the 2021 USHL Forward of the Year, the league announced on Monday.
The native of Huntington, N.Y., recorded a league-high 48 goals and added 37 assists in 51 games this season. His 85 points, which more than double his 40-point total from last season, were the second-most in the league only behind Chicago teammate and the 2021 USHL Player of the Year, Sean Farrell (101).
In the playoffs, Coronato, who like Farrell is committed to Harvard, led all USHL skaters in postseason points, notching 13 on nine goals and four assists, as the Steel captured their second Clark Cup title in franchise history.
