Quentin Musty, the pride of Hamburg, N.Y., heard his name called in the first round of the NHL Draft on Wednesday night.
Musty was drafted 26th by the San Jose Sharks.
Musty starred for the Buffalo Junior Sabres and North Jersey Avalanche during his youth hockey days, then took a major step in his second season in the OHL with Sudbury.
In 53 regular-season games, Musty scored 26 goals and dished out 52 assists. It marked a 14-goal and 47-point increase from his rookie campaign.
