A number of promising 2004-born players from New York and New Jersey took to the ice representing prep school hockey programs this past winter.

It’s become commonplace for budding prospects from New York and New Jersey to trek north to play in the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC). Recent notable alums from this region include NHL draft picks Matthew Coronato, Alex Laferriere and John Farinacci, all now skating at Harvard.

While this year’s crop of '04s playing prep hockey don’t appear to have quite as bright of a future, there are still notables destined for a future in Division 1. Some already have college logos next to their names while others could land that coveted commitment down the road.

Below is a look at the top 11 players from New York and New Jersey-born in 2004 that took to the ice in the NEPSAC this winter. Among them: Justin Solovey, Tyler Wishart, Austin McNicholas, Alex Zakrzewski and more.
