It was a big two days for New York and New Jersey natives in the 2023 NHL Draft.
In all, nine locals were selected with six New Yorkers and three who call New Jersey home.
The big pick was Quentin Musty (Hamburg, N.Y.), who went 26th overall to the San Jose Sharks. Musty was a standout star with the OHL's Sudbury Wolves this past season. Lots of his development took place with the Buffalo Junior Sabres and North Jersey Avalanche.
